‘BENEATH THE WAVES I HEARD YOU SING’ is a collaboration between artist Felix Prater and the ecologist Fred Sharpe from the Alaska Whale Foundation. The collaboration took place at The Sitka Centre for Art and Ecology, Oregon 2019.
Every sound in the piece is sampled from recordings of Humpback Whale vocalisations recorded by Fred Sharpe and the Alaska Whale Foundation in the waters of Alaska and Hawaii.
